Microforum Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Toronto, Ontario, Canada November 30, 2000
Rick Segal, president and chief executive officer of Microforum Inc. (TSE:MCF), a leading Canadian software development company is pleased to announce the appointment of Cynthia Devine C.A. to the position of chief financial officer (CFO). The company’s board of directors is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Segal to the board of directors of Microforum as of November 22, 2000.

Ms. Devine, who will join Microforum on January 8, 2001, was most recently the CFO of the Canadian Concentrate Division of Pepsi-Cola Canada Ltd., where she excelled in a variety of financial management positions since 1992. A seasoned professional with more than 13 years of experience, Ms. Devine is a Chartered Accountant who previously practiced at Ernst & Young and whose background also includes acting as a director on the board of a Canadian publicly-traded company.

In her new position, Ms. Devine will be responsible for the development of corporate financial strategies, plans and policies as well as the delivery of these services. In addition, she will be responsible for investor relations, financial reporting and control, and internal audit. Ms. Devine replaces Frank Iadipaolo who resigned from the company on September 21, 2000. Mr. Segal replaces Howard Pearl, who resigned from the board on October 4, 2000.

Mr. Segal also announced that Andrew Labute has joined the company as senior director of human resources and Martha Cass has joined as senior director of corporate communications. Mr. Labute brings more than 13 years of human resources experience with a strong background in recruiting for the high technology sector. Mrs. Cass brings more than six years of corporate communications experience in the technology sector to her responsibilities at Microforum.
