Microforum appoints Owen B. Menzel as Chief Financial Officer
Toronto, Ontario, Canada December 22, 2000
Rick Segal, president and chief executive officer of Microforum Inc. (TSE:MCF), a leading software products and internet solutions company is pleased to announce the appointment of Owen B. Menzel, CA, CPA, to the position of chief financial officer (CFO) effective immediately.
Mr. Menzel, is a senior financial professional with over 26 years of experience, including 15 years as a partner with Ernst & Young LLP. He brings broad public company experience to his position at Microforum, including work with Alliance Communications Corporation and financial services firm C.M. Oliver Inc.
On November 30, Microforum announced that it had reached an agreement to employ Cynthia Devine, as its chief financial officer, starting January 8, 2001. Subsequently, it was decided Ms. Devine would remain with her current employer and Microforum has awarded the CFO position to Mr. Menzel.
