Controlling the collection, use and disclosure of personal information is an ongoing process. We will continue to review our personal information management practices and improve them as necessary to better protect the privacy of individuals.
What Is Personal Information?
What We Collect.
Any personal information that is collected by Homeserve may be included in the creation of an aggregate data information bank for use in a commercial context. This information will be 'washed' of any identifiable means of tracing it back to our customers and thus would invariably take the form of neutralized census-type data.

How We Use This Information
All personally identifying information that Homeserve collects is used directly to assist us in providing you with any services you request.
Should you provide your e-mail address, it will be used to send you administrative messages or other communications regarding the services provided.
When you request to be contacted by our affiliates, we will provide certain of your personally identifying information to the specific affiliate, or provider of a specific good or service, you identified so that you may be contacted. Further, if additional information would assist us or the specific affiliate you have identified in connection with the good or service you are inquiring about, we may ask you to disclose such information, and we will provide such information to the relevant parties. To the extent necessary to facilitate a purchase order you place, we may provide certain information, including, but not limited to, the purchase information, to the affiliate who is supplying the goods or service purchased. In addition, we do not sell, trade, or rent your Personal Information to third parties. We may, however, disclose certain non-identifying aggregated information to third parties about the users of our services. We will not use your Personal Information for any purpose other than as set forth herein unless we believe in good faith such disclosure is required by law or to protect our rights, or the safety or rights of other users or the public.
Except when otherwise permitted by law, we will only use Personal Information for the purposes identified to you. When Personal Information is to be used for a purpose not identified, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that new purpose is identified prior to use.
How we protect you
A limited number of Homeserve employees, including our Personal Move Coordinator assistants, have access to your personal information, but only in cases where it is necessary to retrieve that information, such as to operate the Homeserve program or assist you with services. All employees who have access to your Personal Information must sign a confidentiality agreement that prohibits them from disclosing user information to people outside of our company, unless disclosing that information is necessary to provide you with the services you request or to protect our service, site, members, or other parties. In addition, all of your personal data stored on our servers is protected against unauthorized access from outside parties using current data security technology.
Accessing and Amending Your Information
As a client, you have the right to access the Personal Information we keep in your file and you have the right to verify or amend the Personal Information if it is shown to be inaccurate. If you would like to view the Personal Information held in your file, please make a written request to the Privacy Officer at the address listed below. We will respond to your request as efficiently as possible.
Use of IP addresses
Secure transmission of data is important to Homeserve. We use industry standard SSL (secure socket layer) encryption when users transmit credit card information over our system. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed as 100% secure; but Homeserve uses its best commercially reasonable efforts to use the most current data security technology available to protect your information, and to continue to implement the best security methods as they become available.
